Rainbow Dunes

Note:
Like the keys of a piano, these rectangular sections of Inisfree's first desert each have one distinct color of sand.  Inspired by the sands of the Earth, which, in various locales, range across the whole human visible spectrum of colors, this is one of the most stunning and contrasted landforms of Inisfree.

Dimensions & Layout:
This area of sand spans two miles by half a mile, giving it a foundation area of 27,878,400 square feet, though the rolling surface of the many sand dunes which cover that area give it a larger topside surface area.  The colored sands are kept organized in sequential, parallel strips with warm colors grouped on one end and cool colors on the other.  A section of the G.A.H. bisects this area of colored sands evenly through its center along its long axis.

Special Features:
At night, these sands subtly fluctuate their internal glows, making for the most beautiful and hypnotic 'ground rainbow' or 'sandbow', though not, of course, in the shape of a bow or arch.
Rainbow Dunes News:  These dunes now softly glow from an internal light source at night.
